It’s time for spring organizing and the library is no exception. Many wonderful books have been donated, and so we will be having a big book sale on June 11th from 9 to 3 in the Community Room. Come in and browse. There is something for everyone. You don’t want to miss this one.
Don’t forget to check out the new book shelves. We have new books for your summer reading pleasure.
Two new computers and a very nice work station to the two we already had, doubling our capacity.
The computers have been donated by The Friends of the Library.
Many thanks to them.
A reminder of the summer Programs
June 23rd WILDTHINGS at Veteran’s Memorial Hall 11:00 A.M.
July 14th Brian Scott Magician also at the Hall 12:30 P.M.
July 29th the very popular Ice Cream social 1:00 P.M. in the picnic area of the park.
A great new feature is being added to the Placer County Library Services starting May 31st.
It is called “Library to Go”. Beginning on that date you will be able to download books to your electronic reader. For the present it will work with all readers except Kindle. Audio books will also be available.
You may check out a book for one or two weeks. At the end of that time it will simply expire. There will no fines for late books. So check it out at
http://www.placer.ca.gov/Departments/Library.aspx
under “Library To Go: eBook and Audiobook database.”
Happy Summer Reading.
